Many on the forum know I have Australian Shepherd dogs that compete in Agility trials, usually just around the North Texas area. My wife has taken to making collars and leashes using para cord. They won't rot like leather may and as she makes them, will last forever. I will post a few pics here for dog lovers, to show a bit of her expertise. They are not cheap, but it takes her 7 or 8 hours to do each leash. She can make them in several styles and length in an increasing myriad of colors.
You can make them for well behaved dogs that heel well and don't pull, or you can increase the size of the collar, as in pic number three, for those that want to give you a walk. The larger size helps protect the trachea from damage. All shown are $45,
