Looks like it was built on an Italian "pinched frame" chassis to me....sometimes refered to as a" BP frame" due to it also having the early-style base-pin retention.....but I could be wrong. Some photos of the proof marks and stuff would tell for sure.

Whatever it though, it's purdy.

It's a blackpowder frame but to my knowledge, no one has ever reproduced the pinched rear sight.

FYI. Here's a "pinched frame". Only the 1st 100 or so Colts were pinched frames. No clones ever produced to me knowledge:
