WTB: Replacement front sight Single Seven

I would like to replace the plastic front sight on my Single Seven with a metal one. This is the screw on style and I plan to thin the width until I can get a better sight picture at one hundred yards or so. I like the looks of Clements Patridge front sight and have considered sending it to him for some cosmetic work in addition to the front sight. I have also touched base with 2 Dogs regarding the front sights that his buddy was selling.

Does anyone have something for me to try? I outside of Tulsa, OK if that helps.

Not sure what sight you've got, but the Ruger factory front sight that comes on the Single Seven is a good steel serrated sight, and is a taller version than what's on the other Single Six platform revolvers. They should be available from the Ruger parts department for around $10.

Thanks for your response. Maybe it is blackened aluminum on my 4 5/8s model as I cannot get any magnet to affix to it like my other .32 Single Sixes. What I would like is a thinner width and taller overall. Serrated face would be icing on the cake.
