If the Express is like a traditional 870, I beleve the 12 gauge & 20 gauge stocks are different. The 12 gauge receiver has a slightly bigger 'socket' into which the front of the stock fits, with the stock sized to match, while the 20 gauge is slightly smaller (same size as 740/760 rifle stocks).

As always IIRC, FWIW, IMHO, YMMV, etc., etc.

Depends on the age of the 870. More recent ones have a different sized stock socket but I don't know the cutoff date. Youth stock will require a shorter stock screw.

Boyd's has new walnut or laminated ones for $116. They'll occasionally have seconds or returns discounted but it's hit or miss.

20ga and 12 ga 870 stocks have never been the same. 16ga and 12ga are the same
