Looking to buy an NR4F-L with the "Newport" warning roll mark,, should be in the 268-53XXX - 268-54XXX - 268-55XXX - 268-56XXX or 268-57XXX blocks.

Look on pages 132 & 133 of the RENE pocket guide, by your guns serial number it should be a "Southport" roll mark. Check the 4th paragraph on page 132, if your gun falls in this range it is a 3rd variation "transition" gun, and very rare! no more than 50 produced, the rarest variation of the un-cataloged NR4F's. My 3rd variation gun is #268-51224, lowest known so far.

The gun I seek (NR4-FL) should have Black plastic grip panels with WRM on bottom of barrel with Newport in the address line.

Your note's would support the serial (?) number as being a "Southport" Type-3 Variation,,,but if you should see one let me know and I'll make it right with you.
