yes, I can bring it to the Medina show and have it with me under the table, never know......... someone on another post today they have one like I pictured but may be stainless?? and wanted $50 for it,,thats a good price......

My FFL is also a gunsmith and he inspected the other components and feels there is no other damage luckily. I'm more pissed that I purchased that particular rifle because of the rare stock and now it is just a pile of fireplace material.

Can you post pic?
I'm looking for all metal parts for a Mini-14 wooden stock, obviously except the frame. This will reduce your loss by a few bucks maybe. Ed

Well, here is the finished product. AND, I shot it right away and the Viper red-dot is dead on at 100yds even with all the trauma. I think I am happier with this look than the original.

It appears to me that there is a flaw in the wood grain of the broken stock that may have contributed to its breaking. I'd send it to Boyds to see if they will do anything under warranty.
