WTB Looking for a Ruger bisley blackhawk

Help Support Ruger Forum:

To the best of my knowledge, they haven't yet made any factory 4 5/8" Bailey's in 45 Colt. They have only been made in 3.75", 5.5", and 7.5". The 5.5" are mostly SS, except for the small special run of Turnbull guns.

The reason I asked is because I have a 45 Colt Blackhawk that John Gallagher converted for a family member. He took a Blackhawk, shortened the barrel to 4 5/8", converted it to a bisley, reinstalled a factory front sight, added a locking base pin, did an action job on and rechambered a non fluted 44 mag cylinder to 45 Colt and fit it to the gun. His logo is in the top strap. Factory grips and rear sight. It could be available but not at a factory gun price but it sounds like it meets your criteria.

Looking for Ruger bisley in 45 with 5 1/2 inch barrel
I bought a 5.5" Blackhawk in .45 and then cannibalized a 7.5" Bisley that I already had for the grip frame, hammer and trigger. Never liked the Bisley cylinder, and don't like stainless guns, so I made my own blued version. Not for sale. Want to add a Webley style lanyard ring at some point.

That sounds similar to a 4 5/8" Blackhawk I had John do for me many years ago. He rechambered a .44 mag cylinder and fitted it for me. Sadly I sold the gun here on the forum. Shoulda kept it.
