Check with Clark Custom Guns , they may have a used one, or gun parts corp.
Also this guy is a gunsmith-- [email protected]

the trick to 'drill through any of the replacement front sight blades is to drill into the existing hole of the sight body, from BOTH sides, one side at a time, just a little bit, on each side ,so the hole meets in the middle of the blade................trust me , this does work,( unless you happen to be 'cross-eyed'......) 8)
and yes, you should have SOME concept of "square and perpendicular...." holding a drill motor, steady, helps too.

OR , place the sight blade and mark the hole on BOTH sides of the blade, then remove it and use a drill press, the spindle (quill) USUALLY is perpendicular to the 'flat' bed (table)

My 22/45(s) both MkII and MkIII have front sights held on by a single screw--no pin involved. They are all "bull" barrels so I don't know about the tapered barrels.

Looks like the target sights are held on with a screw, but the standards are mounted in a barrel band looking thing, with the sight blade pinned in place.
Probably just order one ,if someone thats upgraded their's don't come thru.
For some reason the PO had filed the sides down so the top is like a knife edge sharp.
Shoots ok,so it's not a have to deal,just a want to.

the tapered barrel , 6 7/8 inch ones, the front sight is a 'blade' mounted into the barrel "band",,,,,much like the standard autos but it is longer.......................and held in place with a cross pin.
