WTB: .44 Special Brass (TX)

I have a new .44 Mag SBH (5 1/2") that has already become my favorite wheel gun. I had initially thought that I have enough .44 Special brass. However, I see now that I could use a little more. If you have a small quantity of .44 Special brass that needs a new home, please drop me a PM and let me know what you have and what you need for it. Thanks!

NOW, YOU STOP AND THINK HERE....If it were the same why would it have a different name ??

The 44SPL is 1.160" LOA and the 44MAG is 1.285"LOA.

No sir, as Wil Terry stated, the brass is definitely not the same.

I could go ahead and use Magnum casings and load them as Special (allowing for the 1/8" longer length of the Magnum) but in this situation, I'd rather keep the loads separate by using different brass.

I just purchased some Starline 44 Special from Midway. They sell it for $20/100. They still show some in stock. Of course, unless you need something else from them, the shipping may make it a bit pricey.

Amistad, you need to get several hundred in a stash. Don't do what I did and stash about about 2k worth. Never use it all.

How does $15/100 delivered strike your fancy? Is 100 enough? I can let loose of 200 no problem. I am talking new Starline brass, BTW.

Sorry I don't know as much as you do :roll: You can load 9mm for .38 Super, you can load .38 Special from .357mag, and as Armistad says below you can load .44mag for Special. Not being a handloader I'm not familiar with a lot of this but the bottom line is I was trying to help and I would have shipped my magnum for shipping cost only.

Sorry I don't know as much as you do :roll: You can load 9mm for .38 Super, you can load .38 Special from .357mag, and as Armistad says below you can load .44mag for Special. Not being a handloader I'm not familiar with a lot of this but the bottom line is I was trying to help and I would have shipped my magnum for shipping cost only.

While you can, 9mm and 38 Super are two very different cases and 38 Special is a shortened 357 Magnum with different internal dimensions (although SAAMI does not regulate internal dimensions.)
