Just for grins I was looking for the video on how to disassemble the MechTech CCU.

I got mine about twenty years ago for $250. Lowest price, now, is $662! . .

I really like the idea of a pistol caliber rifle. Especially when you use the frame,
magazine, etc. from (for example) a 1911 (also Glock and XDMs). However, at the
current price, I'm not really sure how many of them the will sell.

My guess is that the current fru-ha-ha going on has raised the price appreciably.
Still shaking my head (and glad I got mine YEARS ago).

Really FUN to shoot and a perceptible improvement in accuracy (DUH).

Just amazed!

Dang, I have wanted one of those for a while, guess I won’t be getting one anytime soon...even with the $30 discount they’re offering...

Just noticed they make them in 10mm as well. Now I REALLY want one.

I got one years ago but I don’t think the price was more than $200. The stock sure is nicer than the bent metal with a rubber extrusion for a pad that isn’t very comfortable. I used a .45 para frame that never fed well in the original pistol. It worked fine on the conversation. It does have an unusual feel and sound when firing.

Yup, got mine when the only one you could find was for the 1911, the sound when firing is like a screen door closing with the spring twang.

Oh yeah, my wife and daughter both love to shoot it, with that red dot and lack of
much recoil they'll hit anything they aim at.

Looked at and tried one about 20 years. Didn't like a couple of things about it. FAST forward to about to two years ago. Dramatic price increase, so decided on a AR build instead. Love the AR build, uses Glock mags. And I have the adapter for the colt mags if I want to convert a lower.

Do you have a URL for at least some of it? :D

I'd love to do a 9mm version. 8)
(but I want to stay with a legal rifle)

With a 9mm upper the adapters that I found to work with a .223/5.56 lower were these
https://torkmag.com/?main_page=index - glock mags
https://groundzeroprecision.com/9mm-ar15-magwell-adapter-colt-mag-compatible/

I got the colt mags from Mag Warehouse. Uppers are available from multiple vendors.
