After dealing with Win 10 for a month I now understand what is going on.
Its flashy alright, but basically its just another scheme to get more shopping and advertising in your computer. It runs slow because every time you call up a new page it takes forever to load all the ads.
There is no end to them. Ads and ads inside of ads and audio commercials that break in and you can't tell where they are coming from. Ads with better graphics including all the tricks they use to get you to click on them.
And, God help you, if you do become weak and open one of those ads they bombard you for a month. Every place you visit you get wallpapered with that same one.
Win 10 still is a little erratic. Things disappear into never never land and don't come back.
Windows Media Player did not work. It would play music I already had stored but it would not play a CD or DVD. Nobody mentioned that when I bought the desk top. I found out that Microsoft is in the process of dropping WMP. To actually get the CD drive to work they downloaded another Player from its own web site.
Its called "Cyberlink Power Media Player. Same thing but different. That is not a Microsoft product. You can download that into any computer. It took me a while to figure that out but I finally got it to run. They also said to try the VLC player. That did not work either.
I use a camera and video camera a lot. The Windows chip reader did not work. I spent a good hour in Microsoft's Chat Line getting that fixed.
Win 10 is not ready to be on the market, its full of bugs.
I will admit that I have set up everything that I use daily like it was in my old Win 7. I get by that way.
I doubt Bill Gates cares either way...
When my number one grandson comes up for Christmas he is going to rip Win 7 from my old computer and then I can use them both.
