Dear Forum Members:

Need to sell some guns due to major changes in my life, downsizing my collection that I do not use. Offered for sale is a Winchester Model 72A. Thought I would try here before I go to Gunbroker. 22 S, L, or LR. These are fairly rare rifles that were made I think from about 1938-1959. The 24" bore is excellent. The metal on this rifle is about 80%. Stock has some beautiful grain. Stock has a hole for swivel on the butt, and has a screw hole in the end of the pistol grip. Stock has some scratches and scrapes on it. Stock looks as if it has been refinished at some point. I would rate the stock about 70%. Plastic buttplate is in decent shape and not cracked. Not sure the year of manufacture as these rifles were not serial numbered. $350 shipped to your FFL in the contintental USA. Thx. RSlim

I have one just like it. Most accurate 22 I have ever shot. I inherited it 40 years ago and have shot literally a thousand squirrels with that rifle. Good luck with your sale. Somebody is going to get a gem.

Dad gave me one of those when I turned twelve years old. I would not be able to count the number of rabbits that fell the that 22. Still one of my favorite guns. That is very good price that you are asking. Good luck

My Dad gave me a Model 72 for my 9th birthday. That was in 1951. I still have the rifle. It has had thousands of rounds through it. It still shoots great!

A nice gun worth someone taking a look at.
