Williams sight

Put a Williams peep sight on my 10-22. Windage set screw won't hold for more than 15 or 20 shots. Came close to losing the sight today while Grandson was shooting it. Tightened it as much as I dared without stripping the screw. Guess I will put a drop of blue locktight on it when I get home tonight.

Grandson and I have a lot of 4 wheelin' to do after supper.

Try a piece of clear "plastic" fishing liine. 20#/30# capacity.

Stuff the end of the line in the screw's bore then insert the screw. Trim the tail with nail clippers. Not "close enough"? A lit match will melt the fishing line back to the steel slight.

Aluminum sight assembly? Trim with nail clippers and no "fire".......

I had the same problem with the elevation on my Williams sight. I kept tightening and it finally stays tight. I do keep an eye on it tho.

Finally got to shoot it last night after using lock tight. Ran through 4 magazines and everything stayed tight. Maybe things will be okay now.
