Why is it so difficult......

to get through and talk to someone at the Phone Co. My wife has been trying all morning to talk to someone in customer service. You would think it would be easy to communicate with someone in the communication business. :roll: :shock:
 
No business wants to talk to you anymore. Press 1, press 5, press 3..then you get 'Go visit our website'.
 
We don't have a phone company here, we have Cox Communications and others. Very easy to get in touch with, but I switched to Vonage anyway.
 
When you get the VRU (Voice Response Unit) hit the pound key ( # ) a
BUNCH of times (minimum of ten). If the VRU comes back with "I'm sorry
. . . . do it again.

That will put you into the next level of response and THAT goes directly to
an actual (maybe?) living and breathing person.

I saw that about twenty years ago when I was in Sears and the sales
person needed to call the internal Sears support. Been using it ever since.

Maybe that's why my wife couldn't get through this morning, everyone else was saying "Agent" and hitting the "pound key" a bunch of times. :) After giving her the advice of the RF Advisory Board she tried again this afternoon but was able to get through on the first try without having to use these helpful tips. :D
