I was thinking of getting a Ruger 22/45 for cheaper range shooting, and maybe to get the other half into shooting. Due to local
requirements, I can't get the one with a threaded barrel.

Which one should I get?

Thanks,

You have many models to choose from. Personally, I like the 22/45’s with replaceable grips and a 5 ½” barrel….that’s just me though!

I would recommend looking at the various models and choose one that feels good in hand and fits your budget. Stainless or blued is another consideration. :)

Below are a few pictures from Davidison’s website. Be sure to look at all 3 pages.

I can't imagine not getting an RP model!

We have a 22/45 with the 4.5" slab-sided bull barrel. What a great shooter and just a bucket-load of fun. Polymer framed in black, fixed grips but a sweet shooter. It has three point sights like an M&P *** and not elevation adjustable.

I have quit posting on this site, but CraigC's 22/45 begs a comment........that is the best looking 22/45 I've seen. Very nicely done!
