What scope for a 10/22 VLEH

I just got in a trade a like new 10/22 tactical with the Hogue stock, and the 16 heavy barrel. What would be a good scope for this? It will be a target, plinker, and close woodchuck gun. I had the cheap illuminated sight here, but it will not be staying on, no magnification. I don't think that a large sight will work well, due to the small size of the tactical model. Open to any suggestions.

I have a little Weaver 2.5-7x32 on my Takedown rifle, only thing I would add for the close in woodchucks is a JPoint/Burris Fastfire/Leupold Delta Point/Docter type red dot to ride the scope.

I've just mounted a Bushnell TRS25 on my T10/22. Been to range once so far, and I'm very pleased.

It looks to be about 1/2 the overall length of the one you post here.

I like the small size, bright 3MOA dot. Price was $85 and there are a lot of positive ratings listed.
