When the LCP came out my first reaction was "Gee! That would be nice in a 9mm."
Fast forward a bit and we have the LC9. GOOD!
I decided to wait until the LC9 had a little time on it and I could read some reviews.
I read one review from Mas Ayoob and his summary surprised me. He said something to the effect, why get an LC9 when you can get an SR9C for just a little more and have a much better trigger and (implied) better gun. WOW! Really got my attention.
I then happened across an article (I really don't remember where) that compared the sizes of various compact pistols and found that the SR9C is almost identical in size and weight to the Kimber Ultra Carry. BIG disadvantage of the Kimber is almost four hundred dollars more than an SR9C, and holds seven rounds of .45 vs 10 rounds of 9mm (in the small magazine (Kali compliant) SR9C.
What else did I miss?
I am still lusting after an SR9C, but seven rounds of .45ACP in the same size and weight . . . . . .
