What did I miss?

When the LCP came out my first reaction was "Gee! That would be nice in a 9mm."
Fast forward a bit and we have the LC9. GOOD!
I decided to wait until the LC9 had a little time on it and I could read some reviews.

I read one review from Mas Ayoob and his summary surprised me. He said something to the effect, why get an LC9 when you can get an SR9C for just a little more and have a much better trigger and (implied) better gun. WOW! Really got my attention.

I then happened across an article (I really don't remember where) that compared the sizes of various compact pistols and found that the SR9C is almost identical in size and weight to the Kimber Ultra Carry. BIG disadvantage of the Kimber is almost four hundred dollars more than an SR9C, and holds seven rounds of .45 vs 10 rounds of 9mm (in the small magazine (Kali compliant) SR9C.

What else did I miss?

I am still lusting after an SR9C, but seven rounds of .45ACP in the same size and weight . . . . . .

I wouldn't pay two-times the price of my SR9c for a Kimber when the SR9c is an excellent firearm and I'm not hung up on .45s. Thats just me though. I agree with Mas on buying the SR9c instead of the LC9. Thats exactly what I did.

I have both, SR9c and the LC9. The SR9c is my favorite gun to shoot and I also carry it quite a bit. The LC9 is a bit smaller and lighter, I have not carried it yet because I am waiting on my holster that I ordered from Ruger. The LC9 you have a lot longer trigger pull, but in a nervous time you probably wont notice it.
I will probably switch back and forth but probably carry the LC9 a little more. If I was to buy just one, No questions asked the SR9c would be my first follow by the LC9.
Good Luck. I also have the P90 (.45) it's just to big and heavy to carry. I like the 45's for my night stand firearm.

I'll agree 100% with the above.

Lateck,

Between the Lc9 and SR9c, I would definately go with the SR9C. That being said, I would never, ever give up my Kimber Ultra Carry in .45!
