That's what the propaganda says ... it's probably just a cosmetic doodad that gives the GC's a unique look.

Today ... only the blued ones have it ... the stainless GC has the typical 1911 top-of-a-subway-car look.

I always liked the way the adjustable sight was so nicely integrated into the top of the slide, and how the design flowed into that milled area.

I think it's quite nice looking. Makes the GC very unique looking.

By the way .... they're not really serrations ... I'll try to get a pic up later .... I think you'll like the way the sight is integrated into it.
