Weaver "Cub" Scope

I have this vintage scope mounted on a Remington 512 "Sportmaster."
Does anyone know the production years for this model scope?
It's an "El Paso" marked scope.

Never seen one before, but it looks like a very nice, appropriate sized .22 scope. Does it have a 1" or a 3/4" tube?

My copy of "Old Gun Sights and Rifle Scopes" doesn't even mention this model. Could be you have a pretty rare bird.

Anybody else heard of a Weaver "Cub"???

Now looks like a 3/4" tube to me. One of the guys on the "Single Barrel Classic and Custom Rifles" forum at www.doublegunshop.com/BBS has one that he's gonna pull out and examine. If I learn anything from that, I'll pass it on.
