Sat on a stand at the camp that hasn't been hunted in years. Not very appealing to most since it isn't an open field or a rye grass food plot with a shooting house. Just a tall ladder on the side of a road. But, it is close to the food plots and the deer will cross here and hold back from the plots until dark this late in the season. No one else stops the 4 wheeler and actually looks at the tracks on the ground. Perfect for handgun hunting since the long shot is around 50 yards. I think I'll give it a few more sits before season ends.

Should be a good place for the old 45 :)

Good lookin' spot. I prefer hunting woods/timber to food plots, too - although it's nice to have them for a draw and to give the deer some high-quality groceries.
