Universal offered a pump-action conversion of the M1 carbine in .44mag---it's in a 1969 Shooter's Bible. Anyone see/shoot one of these? Were there function problems, or was it just too ugly to sell?

6gun said:I like the idea of a M1 carbine in 44 mag. taking something semi auto and turning into pump action is a really stupid idea, kind of a step backwards, who wants to pump when you could just pull the trigger? if I want pump action I'll shoot a shotgun, but even with shotguns I'd rather shoot a semi auto, why create work where it can be done automatically makes no sense to me. :?
