Vintage Sturm, Ruger watch fob

I found this old watch fob about 4 years ago. Anyone ever seen one of these??

JMHO :arrow: YES or very early 1960's has a victorian look plus the gilding really looks 50's :arrow: use to be in the ANTIQUE business

John, how certain are you that it is "original" we've seen folks take the medallions from the various shows ( conventions) and "in lay" them into this or that...I was wondering a to its size, approx 3/4 in in diameter for the 'logo'////may have to dig out some of Lauras pins and use my
'faulty' defective Brown & Sharp, Lufkin, and Starrett measure tools/gages to check it out the MEASUREMENTS...... 8)
Almost looks like one of them old 'luggage' hanging tabs......hhhmmm

Neat really, gotta remember the "old man" liked them little antiquated trinkets and stuff :wink:

Dan, I honestly don't know if its original. When I saw it, I recognized the eagle and SR. Knew it was Sturm, Ruger. But have no idea if its an item that was given out or sold by the company.

Thats why I posted it here. Hoping to get more information. 8)

None of Ruger's enamel logos looked like that in the '50's and '60's. The earliest ones that I know of were probably given out at the SHOT SHOW when that began in 1979 and they were an identical miniature of Ruger's "TRADITIONAL FIREARMS CRAFTSMANSHIP" patch, words and all. The logo on the fob looks very similar to the enamal logo that I believe originated with an big Oregon collector in the late '70's or early '80's.

"Scaling" the medallion off the 'puter screen with my hopelessly inaccurate and bogus stainless steel machinist's pocket scale (calibrated in both mm's and 32nds), it appears to be right at 3/4" in diameter . . . give or take 1/4" which is WAY close enough.
