Love it!

Slipped out of work this afternoon. Went to lunch with R W then went out to our property and climbed up in my food plot stand. Had seen two lil ones walkin in so was hoping it would be a good day for animals to be moving. Well it was. After a little while had a little (I think) buck walk out. He kept watching the woods to the left so I knew something was amiss. Soon after, 13 turkeys came piling out of the woods, including one nice gobbler. Got to enjoy watching them for about 30 minutes before they eased off into the woods. Add to that all the squirrels and chipmunks and birds and I think it was a good hunt. Even tho I didn't get a shot at anything I had a great time. Here's a cell phone pic so the quality is bad but you get the idea.

so true! almost like a squirrel running through the leaves in the distance. sounds like a deer trotting through!

I see turkeys fairly often around my stands. However, this moring I had a treat. For about 20 min I had a bobcat checking things out. I get to see one just about every year. This guy was fun to watch. I didn't have a camera as mine has bit the dust.

Man I'd love to have a bobcat come under my stand! Only varmint I get to see is an occasional coyote and even more rarely a racoon... Have never seen a bobcat on my stand. Have only seen one on the place a couple times in my folks front yard altho it was about the size of a full grown lab! That one would get shot if it came under the stand and gave me half a chance. One of average size would just be watched and enjoyed

I was walking up a levee in the Everglades and looked up to the crest to see a Bobcat looking down at me.
Another time a Bobcat walked right to the tree I was perched in,looked straight up at me.
Will never forget these moments.
