I picked one up an SR9c last week and got to put 150 rounds through it today. I haven't been this happy with a 9mm since I traded a P95 for a Taurus PT92 a couple years back -- nothing wrong with the P95, as it was very reliable and sufficiently accurate for me, but I prefer a frame-mounted safety.

Recoil is far lighter than I expected from a small(ish) 9mm, and it was right on to POA from the box. I like the trigger a lot -- I've never had a striker-fired double action-only pistol before, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I think its trigger makes a huge difference in the accuracy department over other 9mm's I have shot over the years (namely Luger, P-38, PT-92, Ruger P-series and Browning Hi-Power), and having the same pull every time is easier than the transition from DA first shot to SA for the rest of the magazine.

The magazines are stiff and the factory provided loader is necessary, as seems to be the case with every Ruger 9mm I've ever handled. The full-size mag with the grip sleeve is really nice, but even the shorter mag with the pinky extension gives enough of a grip for all of the fingers. Mine ran well with Winchester white box, Remington UMC and Silver Bear ammo -- no issues with any of the three brands. I debated for several months before getting it (I probably handled one on three or four trips to the shop before finally deciding), but now I'm very glad I did.

It definitely made it easier for me to decide what to look for at the gun show this weekend -- a couple good holsters and more magazines.

Best handgun that I've ever owned.. Well the only handgun, but I love
my Ruger SR9c!!! 8)

i can not believe the accuracy of this little gun right out of the box. i did have a couple of light primer strikes so i have pulled the striker and gave it a good cleaning hope this does it. i see ruger will send you a new striker and spring if not. ruger outdone themselves with this gun. now i am thinking about one of those p models. good to see you enjoy yours as much as i do mine the sr9c is sweet.

you have to send the gun in to Ruger for the new striker assembly if you want them to cover it under warranty. been there, done that.

I actually called them the other day because I was getting light strike issues and they agreed to send me a new striker assembly without question. I don't know if you called the New Hampshire customer support but I called the one in Arizona. I'm not sure if there's much difference but they treated me very very well.

Just shot my new SR9c today as well, and I. AM. IN. LOVE!!! Had a good time at the St. Charles gun show this weekend too, talk about crowded though!!

pkupmn98,

It was a good show but crowded. Best part was finding more mags for the SR9c for less than what Ruger wants for them.
