Used Mini 14

Picked up a used Mini 14 (185) this week. Took it out and shot some rounds out of yesterday. Used Herter's 55gr HP, that I picked up from Cabelas. Was suprized that it had no problem keeping minute of coffee can, with open sights.

I have had AR's and AK's and I still come back to the Mini.

Yes, a good one. I posted in another thread about how I can hit whatever I aim at with any of my Mini's. Now, I am no benchrest shooter, a plinker really and my groups would impress no one but I shoot the Mini better than the AR. I like it better. I have yet to own an AK. The Mini does the task well for which it is intended. Good luck with yours and safe shooting!

Needless to say I was suprised that cheap ammo would shoot minute of coffee can. Picked some good stuff (Hornady Zombie) and it had no problem keeping less than 2" groups.

This one will be a keeper

Sounds like you've definitely got a keeper, and aren't those guns just plain fun to shoot?
