I recently obtained information that Uncle Mike's made a very small boot grip, sold by Butler Creek, for the SP101. This grip is not intended to fit currently made SP101's because of a frame change; it has been discontinued. I do not know whether the frame change is that which allowed cylinder to chamber full-length 357 Magnum ammunition, or a different change about which I know nothing. The grip is far and away the smallest, most concealable grip I have identified for SP101s.

1. Is any grip maker offering a comparably small and concealable grip? The grip need not be "recoil absorbing."

2. Has anyone successfully adapted this grip to a currently manufactured SP101? I you have done it, please describe what you did.

The Uncle Mike/Butler Creek Grips fit on current production SP101's with no modifications, but at the top of the left grip panel there is a tiny gap at the top of the grip. You could probably stick a piece of black electricians tape under the grip to cover the opening into the grip frame or maybe cut out and glue on a sliver of old inner tube. There are grips from Thailand on Ebay that are actually a bit smaller than OEM grips. The UM/BC's are just a tad bigger.

Best Regards,
