Son went to a Fly-In/STOL Contest today and saw the Carbon Cub He, Grandson and I built in 2018.
He knew it was going to be at the Fly-in so he flew the 90 miles there to get some pictures of the two together.
He talked to the new owners and they have not had any problems with it.

The second one we built is on the left. It is an EX-3 and the first one is an EX-2
It is the first time he saw the EX-2 since it was sold in 2019

Whew,, when I read the title,, I was thinking; "Do we now have twin kids for Jim to educate & keep the family traditions alive?"

I tried hoping you'd heard of him.

Self-made millionaire that does mostly race car content but also does some river jet boats and owns a Carbon Cub. He can drive anything. Recently flew from home in Florida to a STOL competition in Arkansas (I think) and won his class before flying it home with his pregnant wife along for the ride.

Hey GG,
Thanks so much. I watched a couple of his great videos. I'm don't follow the STOL Guys except for a SWA Captain friend of ours that competes in a lot of the contest with the same model Carbon Cub that Cleetus flys. Son also does the maintenance on it for him.
The ArkanStol is quite a bit different than the others with the 3 runways.
I find it interesting that he wasn't wearing his shoulder harness on his way to Arkansas.
I do know of his plane and the previous owners. The wrap looks really good. BUT WE PAINT

The wrap is easier to change when the mood changes. He changed the landing gear, tail gear, wheels and tires, and added a smoke machine. Cleetus has a helicopter license as well. Pretty cool for a non-military guy that's fairly young. In addition to drag racing, drifting, owning a circle track and racing that way, participating in world wide burnout competitions, he's also raced competitively in stadium super truck, jet boat sprint modified, and as mentioned earlier, enjoys mini-jet boats on rivers all over the nation. He owns and drives the quickest H-pattern manual transmission Corvette on Earth and his 3500 pound El Camino has gone 6.351 @ 233.96 this weekend at World Cup Finals on a 325mm wide street legal tire.

It's really cool to watch his aviation videos too. He flies some pretty neat RC planes as well.
