Do you have a reduced size gas bushing?? I have shot the Tula in my Mini with a reduced gas bushing and it works about 75% of the time. It barely throws the brass out. It also feels like it has a reduced powder charge in it compared to GI ball and varmit ammo. Only a chrono will tell for sure. Other wise the Tula works in my AR. Here again it barely throws the brass. kwg

I dont have a Mini but I shoot a lot of Tula in my Saiga SGL21.
Fires and ejects like its supposed to.
Bang and the steel case is flung 12-15 feet away.
I like it. Its good reliable ammo that shoots well. For an AK.

In reading your thread I don't think you make clear whether or not you have fired any other types of ammo in your Mini. If not, I would suggest that you try a few other brands before doing anything to the gun.

Yes I have tried other brands. Everything brass cased has worked, however I bought the gun because everything I read said I could use the cheaper steel cased ammo. If I can only use the expensive ammo. I will not get alot of shooting done. I don't work at this time and that doesn't pay to well.

Could be the weather. I was running an ATI stock on my Mini 14 for a while. With that stock in place, there was more drag on the bolt. The heatshield in the stock is tighter than the original causing the Op-Rod to drag in the stock. Under normal circumstances this isnt a problem because you can add a little rem-oil and it slicks up fine and everything runs. But when the weather goes cold, that rem-oil combines with burnt powder and there is a LOT of drag in the system. I couldnt get thru more than three shots without the gun jamming due to it not going fully into battery.
In my case it was nothing to do with the Tula ammo I was running. It was a combination of temperature and an aftermarket stock.
I swapped back to the original stock and my problems went away.
YOu mentioned that your gun is Brand New. Well, is it really brand new or is it Like-new and some one else owned it before you? If it was used, the previous owner could have shot a few hundred rounds thru it, then done a partial cleaning (bore, external surfaces etc) and then sold it. It could be that a detail strip and cleaning will reveal that your Op-rod and gas piston are gummed up. You wouldnt see this unless you took the gun apart and examined it before buying it.
I would check that first. Then check for something else causing drag on the op rod, then check with the previous owner/gun shop where you bought it and see if maybe someone else installed one of those aftermarket smaller gas bushings.
In my experience, Tula ammo is fine. I have put ~300 rounds of it thru my Mini 14 with no problems. Its pretty accurate too.

Tula 55gr ammo has a Factory MV of ~3,105 fps (Barrel Length ?)
Tula 62gr ammo has a Factory MV of ~3,050 fps (Barrel Length ?)
Tula also states that their .223 Remington Ammo has a pressure of 49,777 PSIA.
Now the way CIP and SAAMI test for pressure is not identical, but the CIP maximum for the .223 is 62,366 PSIA.
No matter how you describe it, Tula/WOLF/Herter's ammo is underpowered.
