Trigger Pull and Holster for SR9

My SR 9 is very reliable--555 rounds through it with only one FTF during the first 100 rds (my fault--I didn't "slingshot" the slide hard enough on the first round of the magazine). No FTFs at all.

However, I have a problem with the trigger pull. Not that it's too long or hard, it just seems to be inconsistent, i.e., sometimes it will fire before I expect it to, seemingly because the trigger pull is shorter. I know that, theoretically, you're not supposed to be able to anticipate the gun firing, but sometimes it really surprises me. Anybody else have this problem?

I carry it in a Blackhawk Serpa, but because of a lack of mobility (shoulder problems), I have difficulty reaching that high in the 3:30 position. Since this will be an open-carry gun, I will have to change to no further back than the 3:00 position and carry it lower. Any suggestions for a holder that meets those requirements?

The triggers on both my SR9 and SR9c, break the same each time and are very predictable. I've never heard of the problem before that you are describing.

Maybe it's just me and I need to work on increasing the strength of my trigger finger?

Check if you are moving your finger around on the trigger, that can give you that same sensation.

89, the original non-glock like trigger on my SR9 broke all over the place, after it came back from ruger it always breaks in the same place.

Cheesewhiz,

Yep, I've noticed myself doing that, but didn't make the connection. I'll make sure I don't do it during the next range session. Thanks for the tip.
If it still does it, maybe I'll have to send mine back to Ruger.
