That adds some expense to the basic trail cam. Grandson has 3 cams that post to his phone and I think it's costing him around $100/month (maybe more??) to watch mostly raccoons scampering around.
You didn't say how frequently these 'occurrences' take place so you might have to maintain surveillance for days/weeks before seeing anything relevant.k
Maybe I'm a bit 'cheap' but with the cams so close to the house, you can check the cards very easily on a daily basis. :unsure: The cards will provide solid evidence if you have a 2 legged trespasser.
We've had a few instances this summer.
Our 28 YO daughter is staying in our basement/family room, soon to move out.
We have a pool out back. Earlier this year, a large umbrella we had folded up on top of a large bin we store pool gear in was knocked off (no wind) the bin and that knocked over a heavy automatic pool vacuum. The bin is below a casement window in the family room at eye level.
Another instance a month or so ago.
The patio door to the family room needs replacing. To give her some privacy I stapled a black tarp over the door,
We were working in back and noticed the upper right corner was pulled down about 3-4 feet. As if someone was trying to look in. Again no wind.
This morning my daughter said that some lights she had strung along our deck railing were pulled down. They have pretty stout clips and were snapped on to heavy wire fencing. Maybe to darken the area?
The back yard is dark. There's a vacant house behind us and a similarly dark back yard next to us on one side and bushes a trees on the opposite side with a gravel driveway on the other side of it.
Our back yard is surrounded chain link fence on 3 sides but there is access from the front.
I have to add a gate to complete the "enclosure"
My thoughts on the cameras was to give us "live" alerts if someone was there.
I do have a couple Wyze camera somewhere that I could put up if I can find where my wife put them.
I'm going to put in a glass block window to replace the casement window.
