Here in the NW GA/Chattanooga, TN area we were expecting severe storms last night, but we weren't expecting this. It barely missed me, but more thankfully it missed my 2 daughters/husbands and 6 grandchildren who live in Chattanooga very near where the tornado hit. Though really close, I didn't experience what Ft. Oglethorpe, GA and Chattanooga did.

As if this virus thing weren't enough, now this. My friend of 46 years is a long haul trucker. 4 of the drivers he works with lost their homes. MS was really hit hard. Lots of people throughout the SE have received a major hammering from so many directions and could use your prayers. It all started just before midnight, Easter. Around '97 tornados hit Chattanooga, also on Easter.

One daughter is still without power, but what does that matter in the scheme of things. Video clips have been dribbling out all day. 1:50

Yikes!

Thank God you and your family made it through that with your lives!

Prayers sent earlier today. That was my Public Health area back in the early 70’s. I ran a clinic in Ooltewah, and in Harrison Bay. That makes two large tornadic systems in less than 30 days that have hit Tn. Glad you and yours are safe Cholo!

One touched down about 12 miles north of us and another touched down about 30 miles south (probably more touched down in the middle that haven't been reported yet). There seemed to be quite a few all along the path of that particular storm. They did a lot of damage.
