After many years of endless commercials, reruns, outright garbage, and talking heads I decided to pull the plug on TV. Called Dish and told them they were Cancelled. They tried to bribe me with free pay per view, or price reduction, but to no avail. This saves me a bunch of money that I can use for the other things that Tom sings about. I feel better already. :D

What is ironic is I have to sit through a commercial prior to the song.

Hi,

Ever since Google (Alphabet) bought YouTube it's been a non-stop attempt to get more of your money. I used to watch YouTube a fair amount. Not so much now since broadcast TV has longer stretches of "actual program" between commercials than some YouTube videos.

Thanks, Google... enjoy that $4bil you made off YouTube last year!

We watch very little television now. We were reducing cable options here and there because of price increases and we didn't see much value. We finally just went cable free. For us that was about $100-$110 a month savings. Don't miss it one bit. We do watch stuff by some streaming and over the air, but still much less. Of course, they still keep raising your internet fees.

I'd just as soon not even have a tv in the house , but alas the rest of the family is addicted .

Unplugged 14 years ago have saved big money; told the wife if want cable you pay for it. That was the end of argument. :)
