I tried some Titegroup powder this can't remember load data not at home but sure it was starting loadsI was not impressed with my groups It might have been me has anyone had good results with this powder.I was 200g cast I need to get some 250-255 g soon

I am assuming you are talking 45 Colt?

I have and do use a lot of Titegroup. I did not have good luck at all with 200 grain bullets in the 45. I find it works very well with 250's.

I also like it in the 44 special (works with 200's there for me) and it is my favorite powder in 38 w.c.f.

Hey BIgMuddy yes I shoot 45 colt I will have to get some 250g I think I will have to order them I can get 500 and pay shipping cheaper than if I got them at local gun shop Thanks for the information

I have had fair luck with Titegroup in all 4 of my Vaqueros, but again, that's with the 250/255 grain slugs. I don't think I've even tried anything lighter..

I use it in .40 S&W and .45 ACP, it even works in 12 gauge Trap loads. I mainly use it to shoot steel so extreme accuracy isn't that important since the smallest target is 10".

In large cases like the 44 Mag, 45 Colt and even 357 Mag it leaves unburned kernels so it needs a hot primer. Uneven or incomplete burning is most likely contributing to inaccuracy.

I use Titegroup in most light to med loads.
ACP 230 4gr great 1911 & rev
SW 185-230 4.5gr in Vaqs & SAA rep very light also good in old SW & Colts NS & Colt 255 5.5-6 gr in BH/Vaq

Dirty stuff! I bought 4 lbs for use with cast bullets. It's even dirtier with cast, so there it sits on the shelf, unwanted. It does seem to work better with warmer loads and heavier bullets. Maybe it just wants a little more bullet pull to perform well.

I use Titegroup for mild loads in 38 SPL and 380 for my wife. She would not even try shooting my .308 rifle until I made some special rounds with 8 grains of Titegroup! It moves the 168 grain bullet at 1000 ft/sec. Very quite. Check the IMR load data book. I did some tests with powder position in the case and found it was not sensitive to position. Please note that with so little powder and so much room you can get a 5X charge if you are not careful.

ive had very good grouping and accuracy with titegroup behind my own cast 158 gr swc and 158 gr rn out of my s&w 686 ive also used it with 158 gr xtp bullets same results . i used to use titegroup for 45 acp loads out of my 1911 before i went to bullseye for all my 45 loads . if i remember right ive used it a time or 2 for 9mm loads . all and all im very happy with it for 357 mag plinkers

That's been my experience so far too, much as I'd like to come up with a lead frugal load with a 175-200 gr cast for accurate plinking... :? I'm looking for a used Lyman 45468 mold but haven't found one yet*..(175 gr HB)

(*I won't deal with antigun E-Butt :x )

Bucks Owin, I switched to a 255gr Keith style bullet and it made a big difference

250 gr and up shoot fine, it's an accurate light bullet I want...
(I live in the "lead free" PRK.. )

I would like to hear of anyone's results with 45468....
