I posted this review last week on 1911 fourm.
Received the Tisas 1911 Carry B9 9MM 4.25" pistol this past Friday, 11/10. Stripped it down and cleaned and lubed.
Fit and finish appearance really good, except the left grip panel of the soft grip panel was a little buggered just in front of the top grip screw. Mine came with soft and hard grip panels. Slide to frame fit very tight. Trigger had more take up than I like, but broke pretty clean. Hammer is a little clunky, thumb safety clunky and a pita to remove. The slide release was very stiff, as was the mag release. Barrel to bushing fit needs some attention as it rubs about a ¼" from the muzzle.
11/11 I ran 100 rounds of Magtech 124 FMJ through the pistol from sitting position with a sandbag support at 15 yards with only one hiccup a failure to extract in the middle of the third magazines. I swapped magazines back and forth during the session.
I am not the pistolero I was 20 years ago not that I was ever all that. I just do not shoot pistols enough to keep up my skills. I shoot rifles way more.2-3 thousand rounds a year with rifles versus 5 to 6 hundred with pistols. Point being the pistol is most likely more accurate than the 3" groups I was able to achieve.
After the session I stripped and cleaned and polished the disconnector, trigger bow, hammer, and hammer strut, magazine release, slide release, adjusted and polished the sear spring, polished the feed ramp. The take up of the trigger is much better now and the break is clean and crisp and trigger pull feels much lighter. I will address the barrel bushing fit at a later time. The above are things I do to any new to me 1911.
Overall, I am very pleased with the Tisas 1911 Carry B9.
