Spring has sprung here in TN- so for me its fishing or hiking pretty much every clear day…

finally got the boat out of the garage (older pic)

Took Gramps out for his first fish of the season and his first crappie. Wasn't a keeper, but he seemed pretty happy anyway.

Have not done it in years but you can launch your boat in the Cumberland just out of Carthage and head up the Caney for a very fun multi species fishing trip. Smallmouth, largemouth, trout in the Caney and almost anything where it empties into the Cumberland. Keep a close watch on the water level and flow on the Caney as it can fluctuate several feet depending release at the dam.

*sigh* Out of curiosity is the formation in the next to last pic natural? It almost looks like the walls of a stone quarry.

Roland is teaching me how to fish for crappie! Scott's gulf has been a Mecca for fishermen, cavers, campers, horseback riding etc since at least the mid 1970's, when I first learned of the area. Thanks Roland!
