The "SR" logo isn't dead!

While the "SR" logo has been simply a "R" one for a while, seeing the new item below shows the old logo hasn't been completely abandoned.

No, it just shows they don't want to pay the price for someone making a new mold for a key chain.

I'm still pizzed off at the Ruger bean counters for expunging Alexander Sturm's name from the logo and historical reference from the company. If not for Sturm's $50,000 initial investment in the company, these idiots would not be working for Sturm, Ruger & Co. WBR would have never stood for this.

This is the Ruger Forum. Lots of collectors here. What did you expect when you brought up (even indirectly) the subject of the missing "S"? :wink:

When you receive them would you mind telling me the diameter of the thing?

I know it's too large for a traditional medallion but I'm thinking maybe in a rifle stock? Looks like the edge would have to be cleaned off to 90 degrees though.

Don't forget...this stuff...keychains, neckties, whatever...all comes from a vendor to Ruger, not made by Ruger. Would be easy to see why an SR might show up on a new item from time to time.

As described, about the size of a dime.

Cary, yes, there's a slight "draft" around the edge that might require squaring up for use as an inlay.
