The RSI Model for 2015

I was hoping for 1 in stainless also, but I love the caliber!

Why? To close to 257 and 7x57 the last two years of rsi, that's my thoughts.

Why? Suppose they think there is a market and can sell a very popular cartridge/caliber in a rifle long rumored to be going away. I'm thankful Lipseys is now carrying the #1 flag.

Sweet! I have the 1A in a Swede and am not a huge fan of the RSI, but that cartridge in that configuration just seems right!

Gawd I hope the wood quality comes back!!

I'm getting one for sure. It floors me the amount of teeth gnashing and complaining about these when they could have very easily been discontinued and gone for good. I'm just happy we can still buy these

I too am glad that The #1's are still alive and kicking. Having said that....I'm going to take a "wait and see" approach this year. I was so disappointed with the .257's that I saw, I'm going to have to be convinced that a new production #1 is worth my hard earned cash! As far as chambering, I'm ok with 6.5x55.

I'm OK with the new RSI I just thought they may have gone with a larger cal. For me the 1s in 06 is just what I wanted Lets hope the wood gets much better. I do hope some protos will be at shot show but I dougt it.

Perfect!!!! I can't imagine a better combination.

Wonder what twist Ruger will use? Hope it will stabilize long bullets?

Corbi,

They used 1 in 8" on our past Number 1 6.5X55's so I doubt they would have changed it.

Jason

Thank you Jason. That should work well.

RSI's won't be available till mid-year. They are waiting on the upgraded stock blanks for them and they are several months out. The other guns should start shipping late Q1 or Q2.

Likely a 1S 30-06 for me IF I can sell off some Remingtons I've lost interest in. Still hope for the appearance of the K1RSI some day.

That would be a nice touch. I wish going forward Lipsey's would use red pads
