Getting ready for church this morning I glanced at the mirror and realised it's been a long time since I have combed or parted my hair. But then never a bad hair day.

I haven't parted or actually combed my hair for a while either. I used to have light brown hair too. Now it's either black or white that blends to nice grey. :) My wife can cut my hair now so that saves a bunch keeping what's left neat.

I've been blessed/cursed with a full head of hair even at my age. But a few years ago I got tired of taking care of it and told my barber to cut it short. He trimmed a half an inch or so off. Then I explained I wanted it real short as in less than crew cut but not quite a GI buzz.

So, that's how I've worn it ever since. Most of the men in my family go bald. The curse me for cutting my hair. But they weren't the ones who had to wash, comb and keep it trimmed.

Being mostly bald, I bought a hair trimming outfit about thirty years ago.
In it there is a guide that leaves more than 1/8th inch, but less than 1/4
inch of hair. Have not combed my hair in thirty years.

I also wash it every time I take a shower. Makes a good joke in that one
(actually more) time I was at the check out counter at a store and said to
the gal working the register . . . "I hope you will excuse me for coming in
looking like this. I just washed my hair and can't do a thing with it!" The
gray hared lady behind me laughed so hard I thought she might have a
heart attack.

42+ Years ago on my first day of college they cut ever speck of my beautiful shoulder length hair off.... I never let it grow back more than an inch since then.... I do have a comb for my mustache for when I trim it on occasion.

At 72 years of age I find myself slowly evolving back to my High School days "Frat" haircut, which we used to call a Princeton. I didn't plan on the growing "Friar Tuck" bald spot on top. I've evolved through sideburns, over-the-ear hair, a life-long part, but never entertained a comb over. (No disrespect intended, Mr. President).
