The Mrs. and I had the pleasure of seeing them in concert tonight, at the Levoy Theater, here in Millville.
They put on one heck of a great show. Original member Doug Gray has still got it going on, after all these years! A true Southern Gentleman. The last song they played was dedicated to B.B. King.

Just what this "stuck in the seventies" guy needed :D

The wife and I saw them here in Richmond some years ago at this festival called June jubilee .
As it happens I knew the off duty officer working security for the event.
Anyway he took us back stage after the show and we got to meet the guys and I even got to jamand party with them for a while.
It was more than cool playing rythum and singing lead to Can't You See with the Marshal Tucker
Band backing you up. All of them were down to earth dudes .I'll never forget that

Never been to a concert, but just about my all-time favoriete Southern Rock band. Especially love "Walkin' my Property Line" and "Can't you See". TD

Yep, good Southern Rock. They were considered somewhat "local" as they were from upstate SC originally. I've seen them perform a few times. It has been a while though.

We saw them at Blossom Music Center in the late '70's sometime. They still quarters from me if there is a juke box in the place.

Jeff, at least your stuck in the seventies, I'm still stuck in the 50's and 60's. :) Glad you had a good time.

All-American all the way.
Doug Gray and the other founding members were Vietnam Vets.
When he first stepped up to the microphone, he stated that he feels everyone should be able to legally carry a gun, and if his view on this makes anyone in the audience uncomfortable, they're free to leave, but they won't get their money back. :D :D :D :D :D That brought me right up out of my seat with a loud rebel yell (well, I am from SOUTH Jersey), along with the vast majority of the crowd.
Gotta love that guy!

I saw Marshall Tucker when they were very new to the scene in the early 1970s up at Bangor, Maine. (Opened for Joe Walsh) They were very very good! Too bad Tommy & Toy were lost so many years ago... But I'm glad to see Doug is still there!

My personal favorite is The Last of the Singing Cowboys. It doesn't get much airplay. But man I like the brass!
