I was messing around in the garage today and had to pull the side cover off my 30 year old John Deere 425 lawn mower. I'm surprised the side covers have lasted this long as they're usually the first thing to go. I started super gluing the cracks about a year ago. It's not so bad if you keep up with it.
I have a love hate relationship with SG. It seems like I always end up gluing my fingers together. So, should I put on surgical gloves today? I have them and could have, but n
OOOooo; I'll be careful. On one stubborn piece I just figured I'd just be patient and in time it would take. I took pressure off it and it still moved, unlike my fingers

Here we go again...
I got them unstuck with lighter fluid, but it doesn't remove the glue. I don't have any acetone, but I will tomorrow.
So, I went to check on my gluing job and it was solid, though a tiny bit off. I checked on another crack and it, too, held. I decided to fill the fine crack with what's left over from my single use tiny tube of SG. Note:
single use! I'm squeezing pretty hard. (You've got to know what's about to happen) I'm saying to myself it's not worth it, be careful, don't do this. About that time I gave up before I broke it open. Too late. I released pressure on the part and said--tomorrow. There was one little problem; my fingers were glued together,
again, but on the other hand!
Now it's all over my hand. You can't even see that ****! It's like never seez, or whatever you call it. If you use it it will coat everything within 20' within minutes. I mean it gravitates all over your work space. I think the makers of SG make never seez. There's no other explanation. Oh, and I also believe they make the acetone that removes SG from unintended surfaces.
Looks like a trip to Walmart is in order to buy some acetone. 4 oz. oughta do it, or should I go for the full 32 oz. bottle? 32 oz.(y)
Oh, the fun's not over. I have a two fingerprint cards to fill out. Guess what, SG doesn't only stick your fingers together. It sticks to about 5 of your fingerprints.
I think I'll just go to bed early. Wait, I can't even do that! They moved the clocks forward.
I give up...
