And it looks like it might be one of the best versions ever. Price looks right, too.

Moderator edit: There's coverage of the FN re-issue and the new Girsan version on Page 5!

Nice! Good to see they did away with that horrible magazine disconnect. I also like that they used a ring hammer instead of the spur. I prefer a spur on a 1911 and ring on a HP.

I wonder how long it will be before I can get one? :)

Me too, but the stock P35 ring bites my hand so I had to switch to a spur. Looks like maybe they've re-engineered this one to not do that. Maybe I can eventually get one of their hammers.

Bet they sell a bunch of these!

I beat you to it, Ale!

So you did! Tripped over this elsewhere and just couldn't wait to link it.

I merged mine into your earlier thread, and moved them to the Lounge because it's not a Ruger. (I left a "forwarding" note)

Man, if I didn't already have an original . . .

I couldn't wait, either. You did right with the merge & move.

I already have one, too--an FEG clone that's pretty much permanently set up with a Ciener .22 conversion. But I want one of these, too.

Oh yeah! Nothing like a classic reissued. Would make a good match for my 1974 vintage FN Hi-Power.

Fiddlesticks!! Here I was looking at downsizing my herd… I never found one of these when I had the money to buy one. Oh well, there will always be “just one more gun” that I want/need. If I get rid of some , I should be able to add just one back, right?

Here's a story about a WW2 P-35: Dad landed in North Africa before heading to Sicily and then onto the Anzio beachhead. Somewhere along that trail, he raided a German supply truck and found a treasure trove of parts and partially assembled pistols. Enough to assemble 2 or 3 Lugers and a P-35 with 10-12 magazines and a spare barrel. He didn't care for the Lugers and sold or traded them for unknown stuff but kept the P-35 until he was shipped home.
In one of the very few times he talked to me about using a pistol, he commented that a Luger was nice to look at but if your life depended on a pistol, the P-35 was a far better choice. As soon as I was financially able, I bought a P-35 copy and later ran it through Cylinder and Slide making it a top end specimen of the well known design. I carried it for years and would not feel handicapped to do so again.

This is what a PISTOL is supposed to look like!!!!
Yup.

Am foaming at the mouth over this one. One at least. Maybe two. I always thought Browning could have updated theirs and kept it going, but SA will surely have better pricing.

Always loved the design and style of the classic Browning Hi-Power. I bet Springfield Armory sells a bunch of these.

(Still chuckling over how SA went out of their way to avoid saying anything like "Hi-Power" or "Grand Puissance" in their ad copy. )

Back in the day I had a nickel plated p35, 1970’s vintage. I am more into revolvers now, and too old to pickup brass, but this could be tempting.

WAYNO: thanks! I missed that when I first too quickly read the link. Again, thanks!

It was hidden in plain view. I know I had read that, but when I went back to read it again, I couldn't find it, until I realized it was right in front of me.

WAYNO: And I thought I was the only one suffering from such a malady, or as my physician keeps telling me: "You are at that age...."
