Your Tropical Storm is soaking Riverside, Ohio, like we needed more rain. It has rained day and night for a week.
The guy across the street is building a large boat in his back yard. The grass is about two feet high. Thank God we live on high ground. I-70 and I-75 have been plagued by Semi-Truck accidents. Trees and power lines down all over. Whut a mess.

Glad we could help out. When you end up with about 15"-20" in a 5-6 day period then you can say it rained.
The Brazos River, about 3 miles from us is in flood stage and some folks are getting out of their houses. US 59 going South to Victoria is shut down due to high water.
That is a Major 4 lane to Mexico:wink: :wink: .

Well I think it is raining, but at 115 it evaporates before it hits the ground.
Wish we could have sent some of this to CA. I think all of our lakes are now full so it just goes to the Gulf.

Jim, there is no doubt now. All of the rainfall now is just 100% runoff, straight into the lakes, down the Trinity river to Lake Livingston and then out to the Gulf. North Texas watershed runs down one river, the Trinity. Farther north it is the Red River. It is extremely full, historically full. Shreveport and down river are in for a horrible situation.

Amistad shows 27.93 ft low as of 20 June.

I remember the news folks saying lake Medina near San Antonio had risen over 50' but was only 37% full. This was after "phase one".

Jim, if you can figure out how to do that, you'll be treated like a god out here. Maybe even get free beer for life!

We've had over 16,000 acres burned in my "backyard" since Wed. afternoon, with about 15% containment now. And there are at least five other fires burning further up the State right now according to the little map on the CalFire site. It's really rough terrain, temps have been dancing around 100 locally all week, and I'm sure a lot of those guys up the hill would welcome some help from Mother Nature...

I don't want this to get political..

It is a damn shame that we can't ship water the same way we ship oil and gas all over the US. To me it is just as important. I think we know how to ship Oil and Gas. Maybe when we can't grow crops anymore they might figure that out. Just think how much water is flowing into the Gulf and Atlantic RIGHT NOW. Seems that you could get excess water from the states that allow it to flow to the Ocean/Gulf. After use it still ends up in the same place. STOP Tying to get it from a few rivers that can't supply enough at the present time.

The World has the same amount of water that it has always had.
But I'm just a dumb ass that doesn't know squat.

Well, the SAD part about California is that not only did the destroy some dams and reservoirs some years ago, BUT they also TRASHED all the plans to dam and build additional reservoirs all to please Moonbeams son and other enviro-nazis. They also let millions of gallons flow into the ocean so a little "smelt " could live; TO hades with humans and farmers.
