Takedown and "Bug Buster" - How's the eye relief?

Hi,

Is anyone here using the latest version UTG Bug Buster (SCP-M392AOLWQ) on their 10/22 Takedown?

It's 8.1" in length and I'm wondering how the eye relief would be on the TD.

There are no local retailers around here that carry it and I'd like to avoid the hassle of buying one online and then having to return it because it's too compact.

At 8.1" I know I could fit it in the case okay but I don't want to sacrifice a good target view just for the expediency of the scope fitting in the case.

Thanks

UTG makes airsoft stuff, I'd want to see this in person and see what the the optical quality is before dropping any $$ on it.... UTG does NOT have a very good reputation.

Mmmm, UTG does make airsoft stuff but they make other things too.

And I'd like nothing better than to mount a nice Leupold on the Takedown but I don't have enough $ right now to buy even a used one.

So I've been looking to go "cheap." Nothing else I can do other than save my pennies and buy a real nice scope at a later date. But patience has never been my strong suit.

I appreciate the advice. I really do. it sounds like you're trying to help me avoid getting burned on the purchase.

But have you any experience with UTG products? Just asking, not trying to be combative about this. I came here for information not a urination contest. :D

Here's what I'm getting at. I know a lot of guys like to talk Taurus firearms down because they are not as expensive as some others. I have owned a fair number of their firearms, revolver and semi-autos over the years and had no problems. And if had had problems, there is always that lifetime warranty that Taurus provided. Google it. You'll see they honor it.

Anyway, I read up on this scope all over the Internet and what finally convinced me that it might be an "okay" scope were these reviews from amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/UTG-3-9x32-Compact-Picatinny-Sunshade/dp/B005UGIMNQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1352009131&sr=8-1&keywords=scp-m392aolwq

Sure, there were a few, very few relatively, negative reviews but 55 out of 66 people gave the scope either 4 or 5 stars.

And a lot of people in various firearms forums seemed to like it too.

That plus a lifetime warranty makes it good enough for me.

I plan on buying it directly from UTG/Leapers IF I can get a first hand answer concerning the eye relief question and it looks like a decent fit for the rifle.

If the eye relief looks like it will be okay for the TD, I'll buy one. If there is something wrong with the first one I get, I'll send it back.

If there's something wrong with the second one, I'll ask for my money back and I'll wager I'll get it. People also tend to speak very highly of UTG customer service too.

Does anyone here actually have one on a 10/22? If so, how is it?
