T/C how they make the frames

Wow! know casting has come a long way, but so has intricate machining. Thinking the particular shape of the style frame would be the easy button for machining, yet it's cast. That says a lot for casting advancements.

Or,,,,,,,,,,,,,, are they stuck in the process they used in the 60's

Very cool. I worked in a facility that did metal casting only on a much larger scale. Our castings were made with further hot and cold working in mjnd.
Thanks for posting.

I've been following the process of T/C "coming back."

First off,, I think it's great.

That said,, I'm seeing a focus on mostly the Encore line. I'm hoping the Contender line will also return. But everything I've seen, heard or whatever,, the main focus is the Encore.

As for investment casting,, Bill Ruger proved it's value & abilities long ago. Before T/C. And while machining has advanced,, one thing to look at is the fact that to take a block of steel & machine it,, you have a lot of metal waste. Then, in heat treating,, it can also change shape,, and not be as precise as it may have been machined to. Investment casting works, is time proven, and is very repeatable.

But to see the revival of an excellent design, after it's demise by another company,, well, that's good news.
