Surplus Powder WC231

I found a 8 lb plastic jug of powder I bought years ago.
It is labeled military surplus WC231 Powder.

This may sound stupid but I need to verify that this is equivalent to
Winchester 231 powder.

WC231 is the powder that Hodgdon sold as HP38.

If that's true, then it is WW231, as it's well-known that WW231 and HP38 are exactly the same thing. :wink:

now u know, the secret is out. HP 38 and WW231 have always been the same. I thought it was common knowledge...but then whad do i know
