Saw my first mosquito yesterday. It's nearly 80 with the sun shining. Tried to sit on the deck for a while, but the carpenter bees were buzzing me and the wasps were doing the same looking for someplace to build a nest. I'll take it over 30" of snow. Can't wait to get the boat out.

I find that an old tennis racket is effective in eliminating carpenter bees and provides a therapeutic outlet at the same time!

Today I notice Hundreds of Wood Ducks in the bog down the road
still ice but some some open water. Enough to make these ducks happy.
I'm ready. ps

And we have a couple inches of snow forecast. The only saving grace is that you know it won't last long at this time of the year.

There's a freeze warning for tomorrow night, but Summers on the way. I haven't seen ice on anything other than my bird bath in a month. I've been putting off "summerizing" the snowblower, but I need to exchange places with the lawn tractor in the garage. I can see the grass will need cutting in a week or two.

Where have you guys been? It's 85 degrees today and tomorrow is supposed to be 90 and we are selling at a flee market. Got the canopy, the portable fan and the ice chest ready to go. :D :D

Summer on its way here means we're looking forward to 115+ degrees, 95 degree overnight lows, mud dauber nests EVERYWHERE, swarming honeybees, rattlesnakes, and REALLY high electric bills!

Let it stay spring for about 28 years...

Thank you!
