I have a subscription to Handloader. A June July 2017 issue, article on our favorite firearm company, says the name "Blackhawk" comes from the Stutz automobile. I knew "Bearcat" did. I never knew "Blackhawk" did also. Dave Scovill is the author. I wanted to share this. I bet many already knew this.
 
Yes, and Ruger had a special Blackhawk to commemorate Chief Blackhawk. In a wooden case. With an arrowhead. Special engraving
 
The Single Six was a Packard of that period referring to its engine. Bearcat and Blackhawk were indeed Stutz model automobiles.

Packard was the only auto manufacturer that ever gave Roll Royce any cause for concern.
