Stupid People Doing Stupid Things with Guns

For some reason, there are people in the Middle East who celebrate significant life events with gunfire.

It was reported at a wedding in Iran, one of the guests, supposedly a cousin of the bride, starting firing a fusillade after the "I dos." One of the bullets struck the bride in the head, killing her instantly. Two other guests were wounded as well. What kind of brain deadness possesses these miscreants to engage in this behavior?

Somebody recently posted about having to fix their roof after July fourth every year.

He was saying this year they were a different caliber than usual and penetrated into the wood.

Firing in the air is bad enough. But ask any refinery worker and they will tell you they don't go outside onthe 4th or new years. Idiot shoot at the refineries. Last one I worked at you could wak around of the next few weeks and find spent bullets. The scary ones were when we would do maintenance and find holes in the insulation. Dig in and you'f find the bullet.

Me and my husband were married a year before when we would visit the Cajun side of my family in Louisiana and a group would take off into the bayou and he was allowed to tag along. I do have to agree with him it can seem like you are in the movie Southern Comfort with the things some of my kin are likely to get into.

Yep while living in Morgan City I worked with a lot of Cajun Construction Workers that lived down "the Bayou" some WAY DOWN the Bayou.

I had a great time down the bayou at a fish camp drinking beer and fishing for Choupique. If they like you they like you if not say the hell away.

Jim, my Dad's side of the family is from a few miles out of Cecilia, St. Martin's Parrish along the Teche Bayou. They consider Cecilia to be a big city at 1,500 people and less than 10 minutes away is Breaux Bridge which they claim is a metropolis at 8,000, but Breaux Bridge is the crawdad capitol of the world.

They consider Cecilia to be a big city at 1,500 people and less than 10 minutes away is Breaux Bridge which they claim is a metropolis at 8,000, but Breaux Bridge is the crawdad capitol of the world.

Cecilia is WAY UP the Bayou in Yankee country since it's North of I-10. I'll bet you don't even speak French :-) I do hope you know how to make a Roux, a Chicken Fricassee and a Seafood Gumbo:-)
I have spent a bunch of time roaming around that part of the Cajun Country, along both Bayou Teche, Bayou Lafourche and the Mighty Missisip from Grand Isle to Breaux Bridge while living in Thibodaux, Patterson, and Houma, . Ya got to eat Crayfish in B B.
I have had a lot of wonderful times over 20 years while working in our Yard in Morgan City. My longest stay was 7 months. Other times it could be a couple of days for meetings or a couple of months to inspect an Offshore Platform.

Wifie and I have been to all of the Antebellum Plantations along the Misisip. and spent the night in one of the cabins at Oak Alley Plantation. I had already seen most of the plantations, but I wanted Wifie to see their beauty and the forgotten old way of life.
One of the many benefits of working out of the office is getting off at 4:30, especially in the spring early summer and having a rent car (Mustang Convertible at times) a credit card and an expense account or Per Diem. This allows you plenty of time to explore the area.
