The link was tested by me prior to posting, and I just tried it again and it still works. Must be your problem.

The link is to Shania Twain doing a video of Forever and For Always.

You're missing the point, it's not that it didn't work. You only bothered to type one word and dumped a link for people to follow with no indication why they should or what they will see when they do.

Right at the top of this forum is an announcement titled "Some of the rules".

Posted there in a commentary from one of the mods is the following "request":

"Please try to use a topic that gives other members some indication of what the thread is about without having to open it."

This scenario has been discussed many times before as "drive-by linking", a concept disliked on many 'net sites. It's simply a matter of a little courtesy for our members.

Adding a sentence or two to further reveal the subject matter is an extension of that courtesy.

I think the idea is to actually post more than a one word title and dump a link with no explanation. It's more courtesy than anything else. Plus links can be anything and I'm assuming that's why the mods are asking us to be more courteous.

It's the combination of a one word title and only a link. Yes the link says Shania Twain.

It's just a courtesy the forum would like to see is a little description about what you are being asked to open. Most of the time the link doesn't give a clue.
