Stubborn Mk II Bolt Stop

Wow!
I hope disassembly gets easier over time.
I like a challenge, but this is ridiculous!... It's going to take driving a dowel rod with a plastic mallet to get the Bolt Stop to drop clear of the receiver.
Now, I really believe this pistol has not been disassembled by a previous owner.

I'm guessing this is not uncommon in a new or lightly used Mk II.
I go back to work tomorrow and this was to be cleaning day (the wife went back today). So much for a blissful day of disassembly/reassembly and cleaning.

Well, your pistol looks to be in excellent (NEW) condition. Yah, sometimes on the first take-down, the top of the bolt stop pin does need to have a "wake-up" smack on the top of it with a copper, or brass rod to get it to understand what you require. It will get easier as it learns to understand.

With a pistol in such nice condition, I'd use a plastic drift rather than direct hammer strikes.

Put some ant seize lubricant on the pin , it will help it go together and come apart. Stuff like they use on spark plugs
